The Greasley Repair Process:
How Our Repair & Refurbishment Process Works
The Greasley Repair Process is designed for efficiency, trust and reducing risk. When you trust us with your PCB board or electronic unit, you’re not just sending in a faulty component, you’re relying in a structured, transparent, and efficient repair process. We understand that clarity builds confidence, so here’s a step-by-step look at how we take your item from arrival to fully restored and ready for use.
1. Sending or Dropping Off Your Item
The Greasley Repair Process begins with getting your PCB board or unit to us. You have two convenient options: you can either drop it off in person or send it via courier. If you choose to ship your item, we strongly recommend packaging it securely to prevent any damage during transit. Including your contact details is essential, as this ensures we can quickly identify your item and keep you updated throughout the process.
2. Booking and Job Card Creation
Once your item arrives, it is carefully logged into our system and assigned a unique job card. This step ensures that every unit is tracked accurately from start to finish. All the details you provide, such as your contact information and any notes about the issue – are recorded to help guide our inspection and repair process.
3. Initial Inspection (Free of Charge)
Within one working day of receiving your item, our technicians carry out a thorough inspection. This diagnostic stage typically takes between 1–2 hours and is completely free of charge. During this time, we assess the condition of the board, identify faults, and determine the extent of repair or refurbishment required.
4. Transparent Quotation
After completing the inspection, we provide you with a clear and detailed quote for the repair and refurbishment work. This includes the cost of parts, labour, and any additional processes needed to restore your unit. Within the quote we will include a timescale for completion as we understand that time is important when something is out of action. We believe in full transparency, there are no hidden fees, and you remain in control of whether to proceed.
5. Ordering Required Components
Once you approve the quote, we move forward by sourcing the necessary replacement parts. We only use reliable, high-quality components from trusted suppliers to ensure durability and performance.
6. Repair and Component Replacement
With all parts ready, our technicians begin the repair process. Faulty or damaged components are carefully removed and replaced with new ones. Precision and attention to detail are key at this stage and our team works methodically to restore your unit to optimal condition.
7. Refurbishment for Longevity
Beyond basic repairs, we also carry out a full refurbishment where needed. This involves replacing components that commonly fail due to heavy usage or age related reasons. By proactively addressing these weak points, we help extend the lifespan of your PCB board and reduce the likelihood of future issues.
8. Comprehensive Testing
Once repairs and refurbishment are complete, your unit undergoes rigorous testing. The exact testing process depends on the type of board or unit, but the goal is always the same: to ensure everything is functioning exactly as it should.
9. Completion and Customer Notification
After successful testing, we contact you to confirm that your item is fully repaired and ready. At this point, we issue an invoice for the completed work. Communication remains clear and prompt, so you always know the status of your repair and can ask questions regarding the outcome of our tests.
10. Payment and Return or Collection
We offer flexible payment options to make the final step as smooth as possible. You can pay via bank transfer, card over the phone, or in person. Once payment is received, you can choose to have your item shipped to your preferred address or arrange a convenient time to collect it.
A Process You Can Rely On
Our process is designed with efficiency, transparency, and quality at its core. From the moment your item arrives to the final handover, every step is carefully managed to ensure the best possible outcome. Whether it’s a simple repair or a full refurbishment, you can trust that your PCB board is in capable hands.
