Please don’t tamper!
Please don’t tamper!…with a circuit board, thinking you can repair one!
At Greasley Electronics, we have specially trained engineers whom often complain when circuit boards are sent in to be repaired and they have been tampered with! It makes it more difficult to find the problem and understand how to repair them.
The level of intricacy required when repairing a circuit board depends on the nature and extent of the damage to the board. We often need to use a microscope to be able to see the fault which is a test to anyone’s eyesight!
For simple repairs such as replacing a blown fuse or a faulty resistor, the repair process may not be very intricate, and basic soldering skills may be sufficient. However, for more complex repairs such as replacing damaged ICs or repairing damaged traces, a higher level of expertise and attention to detail may be necessary.
It’s also important to note that circuit boards can be very delicate, and any mistake during the repair process can further damage the board or render it irreparable.
So, it’s advisable to have a good understanding of electronics so again, please don’t tamper! Seek the help of a professional at Greasley Electronics!
